Something in my eye

It’s been long since I wrote something but trust me I do have few things to share which I would be doing in further posts, but for now, let’s focus on my eye. I hope you remember the part where I had to wear glasses. You know what happened?, it may be my paranoia or reality but I now have two small bumps on either side of my nose.

Very minute but very clear to me. They kind of irritate me, not physically but it’s more of a “why me? Oh god, why did you do it to me” kind of a thing. I am sure you would understand. There have been various instances where my impulse would get the best of me, but this time, it may have been a little too hasty.

I looked in the mirror, the bumps poking at my face, furious at my glasses and almost crushed it. But then I thought what my parents would do next if I did crush it, and had to pack it safely in the box (you know, $$$ matters). But I went straight out, to feel better. And then it happened.

Now today I have myself struggling so hard to put that thing into my eyes. Damn contacts. It had me occupied for 1 hour, just to wear them. I cannot imagine how long it would take to get it off. And I am feeling all welled up right now, not any thing emotional, but once again, you know, “contacts”.

I had no idea what astigmatism was, until I went to ask for contact lenses. And guess what, I have astigmatism, and hence i am not lucky enough to wear coloured or textures lenses. All I am suitable for are, toric lenses. The name does sound fancy, but unfortunately, it is just plain old squishy transparent watery lens which folds and sticks to my fingers rather than my eye. But as they always say, 28th time is the charm.
